How to play

One verse of the Qur'an a day, the same for everyone. Write your own English translation of it. You get one try.

Each phrase of your translation is then marked:

• Green: it matches the meaning, or uses a close word.
• Amber: a word wasn't recognised, or the word order may mix up who does what.
• Red: a likely mistake, such as a missing “not”, the wrong tense or the wrong person.

I meant this: if an amber or red phrase means the same as the verse, tap “I meant this” to count it as green.

Grammar: then read each word's role in the verse (its iʿrāb), one line per word.

Practice: as many more verses as you like. They don't count towards your streak or past days.
